3D Printed Models
Re-Modeled for 3D Printing By Steve McGrath
3D Printing and Post Processing By James Stapp
Here are 3 different crew gift models I worked on for DreamWorks Animation.
I took the production models and rebuilt them so that they were
water tight geometry and could be 3D printed.
They were accurate and true to the character's design since they were derived from
the actual models from the film. These models were mass produced in China.
I had the pleasure of working with my DreamWorks Co-Worker James Stapp
at the Glendale Campus who took my models and 3D printed them and
did all of the post processes of the printed pieces and coordinated
with the Chinese Factory to create the finish crew gifts.
Armando Sepulveda helped with transferring details from Shrek's production
model of his vest to the 3D printable model.
